Our Annual Contests
We love discovering new ways to connect with the community and one of the most popular ways we do that is by holding several annual contests.
We start every year with our wildly successful Baby New Year Contest for our January issue, followed by a Best of the Pets Contest for our April issue. We also hold a Cover Contest every year for our July issue, giving our readers and followers a chance to have their work featured as one of our covers!
Many of our contests are viewed and voted on by more than 135,000 people, covering all 50 states, as well as six countries!
Baby New Year
We kick off every year with our Baby New Year Contest, and what a contest it is! We feature the first 100 babies entered in the contest — which sometimes fills up in only 20 minutes! Our Facebook followers vote for the People’s Choice winner, who receives a full-page picture inside our January issue. A panel chooses the Judges’ Choice winner, who is featured on the cover of our January issue.
The contest is our most popular of the year. Last year we had voters from all 50 states and seven different countries! More than 135,000 people viewed our Facebook page for last year’s contest alone!

Think you have the cutest pet in Bartlesville? Our Best of the Pets issue comes out every April. Photos are entered online and posted on our Facebook page for voting. The People’s Choice winner is featured with a full-page picture in our April issue. A Judge’s Choice winner is featured on the cover of our April issue.
The contest always fills up FAST, often with well over 100 entries in the first hour! This is one of our most popular issues of the year.

Our July Cover Contest gives our readers a chance to have their photo featured as our July Issue cover. We display all 60 photos entered in the contest in our July issue. Our Facebook followers vote for the People’s Choice winner, who receives a full-page feature, and a panel chooses the Judges’ Choice winner, who is featured on the cover of our July issue.
