In 1986, one of the most devastating floods this area has ever seen engulfed thousands of acres of Southeastern Kansas and Eastern Oklahoma, from Copan to Skiatook. The flood and the destruction it caused made national news. In the middle of this catastrophic event was a city of 34,000 people ... Bartlesville.
