Bartlesville and Beyond — a solo watercolor exhibit by Amy Jenkins
August 2-28, 2025

Local watercolor artist Amy Jenkins will present her first solo exhibit, Bartlesville and Beyond, at the Lyon Gallery. Jenkins, a longtime resident of Bartlesville and past president of the Bartlesville Art Association, is known for her soft, light-infused watercolor paintings that reflect the beauty of rural life, relationships, and the natural world. The exhibit includes scenes of local landscapes, peaceful countryside, and memorable local faces and landmarks. Jenkins often starts her paintings with flowing washes of transparent watercolor, allowing the pigments to blend naturally, then layers in gentle detail using a warm palette of earth tones, pastels, and soft neutrals. Visitors will experience an atmosphere of serenity and reflection as Jenkins’ works invite them to slow down and rediscover the quiet beauty of life—both in Bartlesville and beyond. The exhibition will be on display at the Lyon Gallery, inside the Bartlesville Community Center, from August 2 through August 28, 2025. Gallery hours are Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and during special events. Visitors should confirm hours with the BCC by calling (918) 337-2787. A free public reception to "Meet the Artist" will be held on Friday, August 15 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., light refreshments will be served.
