Free Electronic Recycling Event

Free electronic recycling event. Information provided by Electronic Synergy Foundation. The Electronic Synergy Foundation (ESF), a nonprofit organization focused on environmentally responsible electronics recycling and secure data destruction, will host a free community electronics recycling event on Saturday, Nov. 8. The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Sooner Park, 420 S.E. Madison Blvd., in the swimming pool parking lot. Everyone, including individuals and businesses, from Bartlesville and the surrounding areas is invited to participate. What can be recycled? ESF will accept electronics in any age, condition, or quantity, free of charge. Acceptable items include: Computers, laptops, monitors, TVs (TVs and monitors are free to recycle at this event, with no fees imposed; Printers, scanners, office electronics; Home entertainment systems, phones; Other consumer electronics. While recycling is free, cash donations are accepted to help cover the costs of processing large and more expensive items like monitors and TVs. What is not accepted? Prohibited materials include: Items containing Freon (e.g., refrigerators, air conditioners); Radioactive materials (e.g., smoke detectors); Biohazardous items (e.g., soiled medical equipment); Light bulbs. ESF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to turning electronic waste into a positive force — reducing environmental harm, ensuring secure data destruction, and supporting charitable missions. ESF does not export or landfill any e-waste. Businesses or organizations with large volumes (more than a carload) are encouraged to schedule a free weekday pickup — ESF will come to you upon request.
