Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker - BCB 50th Anniversary Performance

This year marks 50 years of The Nutcracker in Bartlesville! One Christmas Eve Clara receives a magical Nutcracker from her beloved godfather, Dr. Drosselmeier. The adventure begins when all are asleep and the Nutcracker comes to life. Clara finds herself in the middle of a battle with rats and mice, dancing with snowflakes in the Land of Snow and enchanted by exotic and festive dances in the Kingdom of Sweets. Everyone’s favorite ballet features Leo Ahonen’s choreography and a cast of community members and dancers from the Bartlesville Civic Ballet. The Snow King and Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier are danced by Viktorina Kapitonova and Lasha Khozashvili, principal dancers for the Boston Ballet.
